Roi Brown

Roi Brown was born on 4 March 1897 and was the son of Wi William) Taiawa and Mary Ellen Baker.  He volunteered for military service and enlisted in the army on 9 April 1917.  He listed his father as being born in Auckland and his mother in the Hokianga. He listed his N.O.K as Bertha Brown of Gumtown Mercury Bay.  Roi did not see service overseas.  Roi married Gwen Tetau and had 1 child Hugh Michael Brown.
