One of four brothers who served during WWII.

 World War II (Africa)

 Harvey was the first of the four McCabe brothers to enlist in May 1940 and served in North Africa.  On the 13th December 1941 he was reported as missing, becoming a POW, but escaped 3 days later. 

He was discharged in February 1944 and returned to New Zealand.
