I remember in 1988 becoming a Komiti member and working with my Kaumatua and Kuia - Uncle Taki, Aunty Connie, Uncle Perry and Aunty Sarah - to rebuild the Marae.

Sadly some have now passed beyond the 'veil'..... moe mai, moe mai, moe mai ra.

After a break of about five years, I have returned as a Trustee and together with the other Trustees, hope we can make the Marae financially viable for the generations to come.  To this end we have initiated the 'Aroha koha initiatve.'

I am confident that together we can achieve what our Tupuna expect of us.
